Technology Giants Attend Largest Conference for Hosted Service Providers

On August 11, HostingCon 2009 will play host to Salesforce.com, Google, Microsoft Corp. and Rackspace in Washington D.C. for a future-shaping keynote presentation.  The title, “Shaping the Cloud Computing Opportunity” will peel-back the vision and growth expectations driving these technology giants into the Cloud.

HostingCon, the largest conference and trade show for hosted service providers is being held in Washington D.C. from August 10 -12 at the Gaylord National Hotel and Conference Center on the Potomac.   In its fifth year, HostingCon brings together web hosts, data centers, software-as-a-service (SaaS) and other infrastructure providers who make the Internet work.  An industry, according to Tier1 Research (T1R), that is experiencing a 26% growth rate despite economic pressures across most other U.S. business sectors.

With a strong forecast of continuing growth into the future, Salesforce.com, Google, Microsoft, and Rackspace are investing big to build out their cloud computing services.  The keynote panel features senior leaders who will help lay out the playing field for the hosted services industry in the years to come.
