The Financial Analyst role will have the opportunity to work with all areas of the Company in identifying critical business drivers and developing effective reporting and controls to measure results. This full-time position reports to Chief Financial Officer in our West Chester, Ohio office.
Job Description
- Provide effective financial controls
- Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures
- Manage financial record retention
- Support monthly Accounting Close
- Complete all bank reconciliations
- Analyze and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
- Maintain fixed asset records and calculate book depreciation
- Prepare journal entries to support GAAP accounting
- Maintain Canadian subsidiary General Ledger
- Support annual external audit
- External Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly GAAP financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows
- Prepare external reporting required by lenders
- Support Acquisition due diligence
- Internal Financial Reporting
- Prepare budget to actual revenue and expense reporting
- Identify and analyze financial variances and trends
- Maintain interim financial forecasts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop targets for relevant business drivers
- Design and develop reporting utilizing Microsoft SQL Server database that helps internal organization focus on key metrics
- Perform Payroll and Human Resources Support
- Submit and post payroll
- Maintain paid time off balances for employees
- Manage new employee orientation process
- Liaison with 3rd party Payroll/HR provider and employees
- Support Finance and Administration area
- Back-up the Accounting Analyst role.
- Assist in integration of acquisitions.
- Various office support responsibilities such as ordering supplies, managing mailing, etc.
Job Requirements
- College Graduate (BA or BS) – Accounting/Finance degree preferred
- Understanding of GAAP Accounting concepts
- Familiarity with Financial systems
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Experience in database reporting environment is preferred (specifically Microsoft SQL Server)
