iNET Interactive is a social media company operating prominent, online communities for technology professionals and technology enthusiasts. iNET Interactive is private equity-backed, and is growing rapidly both organically and via acquisitions.

As controller of iNET Interactive, you will lead the company’s efforts in the areas of accounting, financial planning, budgeting, tax matters, and debt financings. You will also have responsibility for iNET’s financial reporting systems, accounting policies and procedures, and financial statements audits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide effective financial controls for the organization
    • Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Determine and maintain depreciation and amortization schedules to be applied to capitalized items
    • Oversee the annual financial statements audit process
  • Direct and coordinate the company’s financial budgeting and forecasting functions
    • Prepare annual budgets
    • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
    • Maintain financial forecasts
    • Model potential add-on acquisitions and other investments
  • Direct and coordinate the selection, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s financial systems, including the accounting software, billing systems, and dashboards to track financial and operating performance
  • Direct and coordinate debt financings including debt service payments and covenant compliance reporting
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, and other applicable tax filing and reporting requirements
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives
    • Oversee daily operations of the accounting and finance department
    • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff
  • Evaluate and recommend insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
  • Maintain and ensure implementation of the company’s data backup and disaster recovery plans
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major
  • Minor in management information systems preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
